Ok, I am really mad that people want shadow form to be nerfed. It's fine the way it is, no need for changes. But I fear that if this happens, then there is no way for me to get chaos gloves/obsidian armor or everlasting tonics easily (And I'm pretty ANet play stupid and nerf shadow form for "balance reasons," but I will try and post at Regina's talk page at Guild Wars wiki to get to her senses). So, when this occurs, can anyone give me a good build that can EASILY SOLO that can handle the UW? Don't give me SS or monk ones, because I don't have a monk or a necromancer in my account and I have already used all 8 of my character slots, one which is a PvP warrior (although i may plan to get two more character slots and the Bonus Mission Pack later on, if I can get my parent's permission so I can use my debt card to buy this). And I don't want to do duo, because in most cases, there is high chance of rage quitting and there will be a large chance that ectos will NOT be shared.

Anyways, discuss about a good alternative build when shadow form gets nerfed, i want the build to:

1) 100% protection from interrupts, degeneration, hex removal, and heavy damage.
2) Dealing with the annoying Bladed Aaxtes.

Maybe. It's a shame that Shadow Form isn't going to get nerfed anyway unless GWI gets some love from Anet.

chaos gloves obsiddy armour and everlasting WERENT meant to be got easily, theyre there for prestige, go die in a fire (mods you dont have to delete the whole post just the last sentence will do)

Or you could just make an ele that could always solo the chaos planes + bonepits with those two new slots your parents might buy you.

Or you could keep your sin and solo the smites.

Or solo smites with a W/Rt

Or solo smites with a Rt/W

Or solo aatxe + smites with a famine ranger or trapper.

Or you could solo with a 55 necro

Or you could solo with a 55 mesmer

Or you could farm greens with your sin since ecto are so cheap

The list goes on and on.

With all the Q.Q on this forum i think Shadow Form will get Nerf, Anef only listen to Q.Q.

These things havent been prestige a long time. They are generally easy obtainable now.

Also on a side note. All that Obsidian armour really sais is: "
Hai I can farm a lotz!"

Ursan Requires a lot of work and without a double weekend it's a lot of Grind, I can have a Level 20 Assassin in less than 14 hours, and use one of my Characters to unlock all the skills needed and be at ToA in less than 15 hours of Gameplay, while it takes a long time to get to rank 10 norn, Factions is the easiest of all the games to Level up and you don't need Heroes.

This guy is asking a question that isn't even all "MAN THE HARPOONS" worthy, maybe it's the rush when someone says "lol" to one of your posts and makes you feel good, get over it. This was mainly directed to the flamers, you know who you are and aren't.

Onto actually being productive here on Guru...

How easy a build is determined by you really... The only other build that can come close to the speed and easiness of SF (in Chaos Plains) would be an Obsidian Flesh tank... The only draw backs is that you can't tank all the graspings at once as you did with the SF (you CAN but hard to do since Glyph of Conc got nerfed, silently...), due to the fact that the aataxes CAN hit you, and can 3 shot you.

Another alt to the current SF meta (in Chaos Plains) would be one of the A/Me perma sin builds (dagger and mesmer/cry of pain)... The dagger build would be better if you believe that the drop rate improves when monsters die one by one. Cry of pain imo is better than the dagger build BUT requires a lot of alliance ranks and might not be worth the time to make...

Then there is the r/e Chaos farmer, which is ridiculous and hard...

I only have experience farming with Assassin and Ritualist...Ritualist is also very easy to use solo in UW...And several other places in hard mode.There is a great build on here that allows you to farm...A LOT of the GW world very easily....Best of all it doesn't require insanely crazy farmed points like Ursan or any of the other's, which desperately need fixing.For crying out loud search a little, you will find a LOT of builds for ALL classes that can easily farm one thing or another.Or learn to run a mission or two.Running missions is guaranteed money and it is MUCH faster and pays solid everytime.It's not totally random like farming.So many options to make money in this game, no need to cry about farming =/ There is always an alternative when something gets nerfed, you just have to spend a little time to figure it out =)

two answer the first two post, I am NOT asking to be flamed or anything. I just want an easy build to use for the UW in case of Shadow Form gets nerfed (which I hope it doesn't).

Speaking, of which, I DO have an ele. In fact, I have all the campaigns and the expansion, and have 8 primary professions characters (Mesmer,Ele, PvP only Warrior, Sin, Paragon, Dervish, Ritualist, Elementalist) in my account from all campaigns malus the monk and necro.

Thanks for the help, my ritualist can do 600 variation (which I use for cathedral runs with a hero smiter), VWK, and, 330 rit. The problem being protection against interrupts which is usually done by the bladed and the graspings.

Currently, I am trying to get my paragon (named "Lucario Ursanway," named after the famous "Pokemon version of Chuck Norris") to have level 10 norn title and getting the blessing itself. So I MIGHT put this into consideration (of course, if one tries to complete the quests for the hero's handbook for HM, I say, it's a sorry pain in the neck). I do so by doing "The Path to Revelations" quests, kill around 200 foes, and not completing the quest and starting over.

Shadow Form will not be nerfed, Anet gave it to us! They knew what they were doing, so I can pretty much say with confidence that the new Shadow Form builds are here to stay... No worries, keep farming, keep making money, and be happy.
